The fig is the fruit of my ancestors. My dad gave me two little fig trees that I cherish, and every late summer they reward me with lovely, plump fruits in shimmering colours. I absolutely loved capturing the thousand and one shades of green and purple in my illustration.
I chose botanical watercolor, an ancient traditional art, to invite nature into our lives. Through the meticulous details I've captured in my paintings, I hope to inspire you to take the time to observe, a bit like a bucolic meditation.
